If you are wondering why you should have a blog for your business, the simple answer is because blogs are free, simple yet powerful ways to connect with clients or new business. You can easily update your blog, ad posts and send them accross the internet letting your customers and world know what you’re up to.
A blog is the best way to make announcements, promotions, community involvement and other cool things your company is doing. In one week’s work of business news you can literally have 100 new things to say about what you and your business team are up to.
Who wants to read all of your company dealings? All kinds of people. It is the best way to get employees, customers, and potential clients to stay connected. People love to know what you are up to and know that you are a bustling business with lots of news.

Choosing Your Blog Platform
There are two ways you can setup your blog, self hosted or web based. I recommend having a self hosted blog, which means that you own the site’s content and is hosted on your domain server. I does require you to purchase web hosting, but it is not very expensive and worth having.
A good solution to saving money is using a webbased blog that is hosted on someonelse’s server. One popular web based blog platform is Blogger, a Google product. It is easy to setup and fun to run. For our projects I recommend Blogger for a web based blogging patform and Wordpress for a selfhosted blog.

Title Tags

So this is a quick video about Title Tags. The Title tags are one of the main ranking factors that google uses to determine who ranks where. By making this quick tweak you will get better results almost instantly.
You should change the title of each page on your website.
Google uses the title tags in the search results to help searches identify relevant listings. The title tags are the Blue high-lited description on top of each listing. This video will explain more.

SEO can be broken down into 2 categories. The first being on-page factors and the second being off-page factors. The biggest thinkg you can do to increase your rankings is to gain links. But the way you go about getting those links and the structure of those links play a huge part in your ranking.

This really is the biggest no-brainer in all that we teach here at 101. The concept is simple, write one message and send to an existing client base.
The emails or messages you send should be basic. You dont need to write more than 6 sentences. I call this concept Re-branding. All you really care about is that your name is in front of customers multiple times. Collect emails, send out message, rinse and repeat. Its that simple.
Your ROI for any pay per click you spend money will go way up. Customers may not buy from you this time but the likelihood that they will in the future if they see your name will go way up. There is a little pain setting this up. You need an opt-in form on your website for you need to collect emails direct from customers when they use your service. You should use a service like constant contact, aweber or icontact to manage your emails and messages. This will make sure you adhere to SPAM laws etc.
The opt in form should encourage people to give their email address. Like, Enter your email address to get internet coupons and specials.
Twitter is another method of blasting messages and is becoming more and more popular. and the third method is text messaging. This is a great way to send coupons and special information weekly or monthly to constantly get in front of customers. Watch the video to learn more about these concepts.
